What does an "obedient" elder look like?
by nochoice injust a clarification please.
some posters on other threads talked about "obedience" being an important factor to get circuit assembly and district assembly parts.
i don't fully understand.

They must have a witness working at the station and used their bible for file footage. Funny it had nothing to do with the NWT.

Are the Witnesses Really Losing Their Young People?
by What Now? inthat article about jehovah's witnesses having the lowest retention rate for born ins keeps popping up every now again ... i'm just curious if any of you have noticed that this is actually the case.
in the congregation that i grew up in, i'm going to say that 95% of the young people in their teens to mid twenties are either regular pioneering, regular auxiliary pioneering, serving in foreign language congregations or where the need is greater.
both of my younger sisters are regular pioneers - and the young people in their hall even organize 8 pm to midnight service on friday nights of their own accord.

There were a handful of times when 4 or 5 of us would do night witnessing at gas stations and businesses after the meeting. It was easy. I would just ask if they would like something to read. Easy to place lots of mags. I never wrote down RVs. It didn't last long.
Of the 12 to 15 kids I regularly hung out with as a teen there is just 2 that still attend regularly. I was one of the last to leave the org. One friend still in told me "You were the LAST person I ever thought would leave" He doesn't talk to me anymore.

I left and came back to their house 20 min later... We live in the same neighborhood... and flipped their circuit breaker off and banged on the side of the house. They ran outside. I jumped around the corner and scared them.

Do you blame Jehovah, Yahweh, God, Jesus, etc. for the corruption of the borg?
by Fading Begins indo you hold god accountable for the corruption of the borg?
i've noticed there seems to be a bitterness, by some, that includes "god" in the equation, when discussing the borg and their policies, the governing body, elders actions, etc.
do the borg's transgressions originate with god, or does he feel the same disgust as we do?

Nope. I find it hard to blame something that doesn’t exist. I have no problem believing in something once there's proof of it's existence.
